Have you heard the news? Disney has just announced that prices for Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ will be increasing starting October 17, 2024. This comes just a year after the last price hike.
When Disney+ launched in 2019, it was priced at $6.99 per month. However, the new pricing for Disney+ with ads will be $9.99 per month, a $2 increase. The ad-free option will also see a $2 increase, now priced at $15.99 per month. Hulu with ads will be going up to $9.99 per month, while the ad-free version will only increase by $1 to $18.99. ESPN+ with ads will see a $1 increase as well, now priced at $11.99.
But don’t worry, bundling options are still available. The Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+ with ads bundle will now cost $16.99 a month, while the ad-free bundle will be $26.99 a month. This is a $2 increase for both options. Hulu + Live TV with ads will increase from $76.99 to $82.99, while the ad-free option will go up from $89.99 to $95.99.
Excitingly, Disney also announced new curated playlists coming to Disney+. Subscribers will soon have access to playlists for ABC News Live and preschooler-oriented programming. Premium subscribers will also get exclusive playlists for Seasonal Content, Epic Stories, Throwbacks, and Real Life. These new playlists are set to launch this fall, offering even more content for Disney+ subscribers.
