Exciting News for Borderlands Fans!

Are you a die-hard Borderlands fan eagerly awaiting news about the next sequel? Well, the wait is finally over! After nearly five years since the release of Borderlands 3, Gearbox Software has officially confirmed that the next installment is in development.

In a recent interview with the Epic Games store, Gearbox CEO Randy Pitchford dropped some exciting hints about the future of the Borderlands franchise. When asked about the possibility of a sequel, Pitchford responded, “Of course we are. There’s a moment when we’re ready, and we can and will announce something because that’s the moment to make a public promise. We’re working on lots of Borderlands. We’re working on lots of Brothers in Arms.”

This confirmation comes after months of speculation and rumors surrounding the next Borderlands title. Fans were teased with vague promises of “great things coming with Borderlands” last year, along with suggestions of a potential follow-up to the spin-off game Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands. Additionally, Gearbox previously announced the development of the next Brothers in Arms game in 2021.

But that’s not all – Pitchford also hinted at new games for Gearbox’s other beloved franchises, such as Risk of Rain and Duke Nukem. Could we expect some exciting announcements during Gamescom 2024 later this month? Only time will tell!
