Making a Chest in Minecraft
Crafting a chest in Minecraft is incredibly simple. You only need one basic resource that you can obtain within minutes of starting a new world. Follow the crafting recipe below:
- At a crafting table, place eight Planks of any kind in all the boxes except for the middle one
Planks are easy to obtain by chopping down trees, turning the logs into Planks at a crafting table. With just two tree logs, you can craft a chest using eight Planks.
Once crafted, place the chest on your hotbar and position it in your world. A basic chest can hold 27 items, but you can increase its capacity by crafting another chest and placing it next to the existing one. This will merge the two chests, giving you a total inventory space of 54 items.
