Exciting News for Star Wars Fans: The Mandalorian Coming to Disneyland!
Star Wars enthusiasts, get ready for an immersive experience like no other! While D23 may have come and gone without any new announcements about Star Wars attractions at Disney parks, there is some thrilling news for fans of The Mandalorian.
The popular Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run ride at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland and Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is set to receive a major upgrade. This upgrade will incorporate some familiar faces from the hit series The Mandalorian, including the iconic Din Djarin and everyone’s favorite little green friend, Grogu.

Lucasfilm’s creative executive, Dave Filoni, made the exciting announcement during D23’s Disney Experiences panel. He revealed that Epic Games’ Unreal Engine, known for its work on The Mandalorian’s innovative virtual set, The Volume, will be utilized to bring Din Djarin and Grogu to life in Smuggler’s Run.
“The intersection of storytelling and innovation has always been central to Lucasfilm, and we’re excited to see where this collaboration will take us next,” Filoni stated. “Imagine being able to fly alongside Mando and Grogu on thrilling and dangerous missions.”
Fans can look forward to experiencing these new missions added to Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run in 2026. Interestingly, this coincides with the release of The Mandalorian and Grogu movie on May 22, 2026. Get ready to embark on an adventure like never before!
