WolfEye Studios, known for its team of former Arkane Studios developers and creators of Weird West, has announced a new project: a first-person action role-playing game.

Arkane Studios co-founder Raphaël Colantonio announced on August 8 that their game has completed pre-production and is now in full swing in the production phase.

Although the title hasn’t been revealed yet, it is described as “an ambitious new IP built upon the DNA of earlier Arkane games to deliver a rich and detailed world, freedom of how to play, and a deep RPG experience.”

Three screenshots of the game were shared by the studio, which you can check out below:

Player Feedback Is Key As WolfEye Builds New Sci-Fi Epic

The studio teased the title at this year’s Game Developers Conference (GDC) with an image of a whiteboard from their office, featuring the words “Retro Sci-fi” and “First Person.” This suggests that the game will likely feature a retro style infused with sci-fi themes.

WolfEye Studios plans to hold an “exclusive and limited private alpha” for their upcoming game, allowing the community to provide feedback that will aid in its development.

Interested players can sign up for the alpha on the WolfEye Studios website. The studio, led by Dishonored co-creator Raphaël Colantonio, consists of staff from Arkane Lyon and Arkane Austin.

Colantonio had this to say about the upcoming project:

Arkane Studios is known for their isometric 3rd person action RPG Weird West, which was announced at The Game Awards in 2019. The title went on to get a nomination for “Best RPG of the Year” at the 26th D.I.C.E. Awards.
