Exciting News for Star Wars Fans: Bounty Hunter Remaster Coming in August!

Get ready, Star Wars fans! Developer Aspyr Media and publisher Lucasfilm Games have announced that an enhanced edition of the beloved 2002 game, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, is set to launch on PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC this August. The remaster will bring updated visuals and controls, as well as a new skin that pays homage to the original game’s most famous easter egg.

In the reveal trailer, we catch a glimpse of the graphical enhancements that Aspyr has added to Star Wars: Bounty Hunter. Despite the improvements, the game still retains its nostalgic charm from the PlayStation 2 and GameCube era. This re-release comes after a limited physical run on PlayStation 4 in 2019.

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter Remaster PlayStation Xbox PC Switch August Release Date

If you’re unfamiliar with Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, the game puts you in the shoes of Jango Fett in a story that acts as a prequel to Star Wars Episode II: Attack of the Clones. One of the original game’s easter eggs mentioned playing as Boba Fett after cashing in all bounties, a promise that was not fulfilled. However, Aspyr Media has corrected this in the remaster, allowing players to use a Boba Fett skin after completing the campaign.

Star Wars: Bounty Hunter is set to launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Switch, and PC (via Steam) on August 1. While you wait for its release, be sure to check out the extended gameplay demo of Star Wars Outlaws, another upcoming mercenary-themed Star Wars title.
