Exciting news for fans of The Umbrella Academy! The hit show has just wrapped up its fourth season on Netflix. While there’s a chance we may see some spin-offs in the future, showrunner Steve Blackman has been facing accusations of promoting a toxic work environment. However, Blackman has come forward to address these allegations.

In response to claims of making sexist and bullying remarks, Blackman spoke to The Hollywood Reporter and stated that these accounts were not accurate. He firmly denied the allegations, stating, “I didn’t say them… it’s just disappointing.” Blackman expressed his pride in the work done on The Umbrella Academy and showed his support for the talented team he has worked with.

Blackman also refuted accusations of unfair treatment, emphasizing that he always strived to treat everyone equally and with respect. He acknowledged the challenges of a writers room but maintained that he valued and respected all writers involved in the show.

Looking ahead, Blackman hinted at potential spin-off ideas, mentioning characters like young Hazel and Cha-Cha, as well as the intriguing concept of the Commission. He teased at the possibility of crossovers with main characters in the time-traveling world of The Umbrella Academy.
